This blog shows my personal style, which I'd describe as smart chic with a 90s edge. I like to style items which you would sneer at at a first glance. Mixing high street, designer and vintage, I don't really fit in with the typical 'teen' stereotype; not in my village anyway. You can find my ponderings here.

New Year's Eve
I thought I would show what I wore yesterday, but unfortunately I don't have any pictures of my whole outfit. I attended a Vintage (1920's/30's/40's) themed party in London, which explains the hair and fascinator. Along with the Richard Nicholl purple velvet dress, I wore tan tights, my black topshop suede wedges and faux fur dalmation print coat.
My makeup bag:
Benefit's 'Fickle One'
BASE:
- Simple Hydrating Moisturizer
- Benefit 'Erase Paste' in #1
- The Body Shop Foundation brush
- Versace Makeup 'Extra Creamy Compact Foundation'
- Urban Decay 'Razor Sharp Ultra Definition Finishing Powder'
EYES:
- Urban Decay Eyeshadow 'Primer Potion'
- Urban Decay 'Ammo Eyeshadow Palette'
- Bourjois Paris 'Smoky Eyes' trio in #04 nude ingénu
- The Body Shop Eyeshadow brush
- Urban Decay '24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil' in Zero
- No7 'Exquisite Eyes' mascara in Brown/Black
I used Maui Wowie in the tear duct, a bit of Chopper and a bit of Smog in the crease.
FINISHING TOUCHES:
- Benefit Thrrrob Blush
- The Body Shop Blusher brush
- Baylis & Harding (sweet mandarin & grapefruit) Shimmer Body Lotion - as a higlighter
- Urban Decay 'All Nighter' Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
- Jelly Belly Blueberry lip balm
- MUA lipstick in shade 13
Recent Buys
Happy New Year! I hope 2012 brings everyone peace and happiness :D Here is a quick post of what I have bought over the past couple of days with Christmas money in London (Oxford/Regent Street) and a short trip to my local town.
For a long while, I've lusted over a skull candle from All Saints, but unfortunately it was waaaaaaaaaay too expensive (almost £40) and they no longer sell it. I found a cheaper alternative in Urban Outfitters in the form of a money box, which they sell in white, grey and black. They are £20 each, which I don't think is too bad, but there is also a deal on at the minute which is '2 for 1', so I am saving the other one for a present.
In Zara Home, I bought a velvet cushion in a neon orange colour; currently trying to persuade my mum to let me re-decorate my room before I start 6th form, I'm thinking of charcoal grey- almost black- walls, with silver and neon accessories.
Vera Wang 'Princess 50ml Gift set' (I've wanted this perfume for about 4 years now, it smells absolutely divine, and I thought I needed a bit of a change up); 'The Gingerbread Man' Shampoo, bubble bath and shower gel from Philosophy (I originally bought this for my younger brother as it smells a LOT better than the Lynx he uses, but I think I may be stealing it ;P)
Red Leather tote bag from Topshop; I think this will be perfect for days exploring European days in the Summer, or even on the beach.
I saw this knitted jumper from Zara a while back, but never seemed to pick it up. I love the contrasting sections along the neck line, wrists and bottom hem, as well as the -I'm assuming- faux leather patches on the elbows.
This top is *cheesy quote warning* "Right Up My Street." I thought it was quite cool, especially with a black exposed zip at the back and skull themed icons. Simple, but channelling an effortless 'rock chick'' vibe. It is from Zara also.
Although hard to see on the picture, this skirt from Zara is shorter at the front than the back and made from a very smooth chiffon material. It has a floral detail, and I think this would work in the Winter with military boots, the jumper above, thick woolen tights and a leather jacket, or with a silk sheer shirt and bright wedges in the summer.
From Superdrug, I bought the Eylure lash glue (as I was going to wear some gorgeous eyelashes I got from London Fashion Weekend on New Year's Eve), the Harajuku Lovers 'G' perfume 30ml (which smells like coconut and pineapple.) From the Lush sale, I bought 'Mint Julips' lips scrub and 'Snow Fairy' shower gel.
Just a quick outfit of the day, featuring the All Saints 'Palm Skirt' which I got for Christmas!
Also these are my nails which matched my purple velvet dress I wore on New Years Eve (may include in my next post); Barry M 3 in 1 Topcoat, Accesorize 'Rock Star' and a random glitter on top.

London Fashion Weekend A/W 2011
Here are a few photos from my recent trip to London to attend LFWE on Saturday 24th September. I had a great day; I got my picture taken for the Elle Street Style, but unfortunately did not get shortlisted for the website :(, as well as a few other blogs :). After picking up a few things, we (my mother and I) had some spare time, so we walked up to Covent Garden for a bit of lunch. I'll definitely going back in February!
Absolutely loved the design on this t-shirt from Bolongoro Trevor, but unfortunately the colour was slightly unflattering :(
Absolutely gorgeous hair tutorials and accessories!
I love the little birds and cakes, quite expensive though :(
New for this season- a vintage section
Very All Saints-like decor for a jewellery stand
Where I bought my amazing sunglasses (shown below)
A pretty retro-style bar
Some swan-inspired cocktail rings
A very pretty dress from Reem
